How Can I Improve My Connectiv...

Connection strength vs. Connection speed

A Basement Defender™ unit that has a strong Wi-Fi connection may still experience interruptions if the connection speed is low. This means there is not enough bandwidth available for the unit to function properly.

To check your unit’s connection strength, start by checking the strength of your wifi. For a guide on how to do that, read our guide on How To Improve Upload Speed.

Improving your connection speed

If you suspect that you have low connection speed, you should first make sure you have a good connection strength. You can learn more about connection strength, as well as ways to improve your connection strength.

If your connection strength is not the issue, then you can work on improving your connection speed. You may need to contact your internet service provider to upgrade your internet package or router in order to improve your connection speed.

If you are still experiencing connectivity issues after checking your connection speed, please contact customer support. We’ll be happy to help!
